I was trying to publish an InfoPath form to a new site and it just wouldn't work.
I kept getting a dialog that read:
"Microsoft Office InfoPath:
The following url is not valid"
This is what I found:
I did not have a Site Collection at the top level:
My only site collection was: http://mossdevmem1:4987/sites/workflow/
Turns out you need a Site Collection to exist without the sites term.
You do not need to use it, but it must exist. So I created a Site Collection:
NOTE: I do not use this site collection, but the mere existance of it, allows me to publish forms to the original site collection!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I had this stupid error msg "The following url is not valid" for days now, and I've been Googling it since but couldn't find a way to fix it!
